Beginner Quilting Class in Chattanooga with Christine

This class will teach you key skills like accurate rotary cutting, consistent 1/4- Inch seams, and proper pressing; which are all crucial for making your first quilt. We provide step by step instructions on selecting your fabrics, measuring, cutting, piecing blocks, and assembling quilt tops to help you avoid mistakes and frustration. 

Join us for this 6 session class to get started

1 Session The Basics- Fabric, thread, needles, and rotary cutting. (We will select and cut fabrics and discuss choices.)

2. Session- Learn to make the nine patch block and friendship star block

3. Session- Learn how to square up the blocks and assemble the quilt center

4. Session- Cut, Piece and add the borders, discuss backing

5. Session- Layer, baste, mark and machine quilt (basic walking foot pattern) 

6. Session- Binding and final touches- Celebrate Completion!

This class will require some Homework

You will select your own fabrics - and get discount on all accessories and fabrics at CSM. 

Price $150 includes all sessions and printed instructions

Machines are provided for class as well as cutting mats.
