Rag Quilt Class with Christine-Chattanooga

Description
A rag quilt is a warm, easy-to-make quilt that features visible, fringed seams
caused by cutting the seam allowances, which then unravel in the washer
and dryer.
It’s created by stitching together “sandwiches” of top fabric, batting, and backing,
and can often be completed within a single day.
Join us for this class to learn more about it!
This class is about learning the process of making rag quilts and
might need some “homework” after, depending on the size of your project,
to have a fully finished project.

What to bring:
- Material: - Baby/Crib (approx. 45" x 45"): approx. 2 yards each for front and back.
- Lap/Throw (approx. 50" x 60"): 3.5–4 yards each for front and back.
- Twin (approx. 60" x 80"): appr. 5 yards each for front and back.
Cotton and flannel work best for fraying
- batting

- General cutting and sewing tools needed for quilting
- Spring loaded snips work best for cutting the seam allowance
Everything can also be bought at the store with a 20% discount if needed
Classroom machines and cutting mats will be provided
